Ground Penetrating Radar (GPR) Scanning in Florida
Non-invasive subsurface imaging using GPR technology. We detect buried utilities, voids, rebar, and underground structures with precise depth profiling — no excavation required.
What Is Ground Penetrating Radar (GPR) Scanning?
Ground Penetrating Radar (GPR) is a non-destructive geophysical method that uses radar pulses to image the subsurface. GPR transmits electromagnetic energy into the ground and records reflections from buried objects, utility lines, voids, and changes in material properties. The result is a detailed cross-section of everything below the surface — including utilities that electromagnetic locating cannot detect, such as non-conductive plastic pipes, fiber optic conduits, and concrete structures.
Why You Need This Service
Many buried utilities are made of non-conductive materials — PVC water lines, HDPE conduit, concrete sewer pipe — that standard EM locating equipment cannot detect. GPR is the only non-invasive method to find these utilities, map their depth, and identify potential hazards before excavation. For commercial, industrial, and municipal projects, GPR scanning is often required for design-level quality data.
How It Works
Site Setup
Our GPR technician sets up the antenna array and calibrates to your site's soil conditions for maximum penetration depth.
Grid Scan
We conduct systematic grid-pattern scans across your site to ensure full coverage of all areas of interest.
Data Analysis
Our team interprets the GPR data in real time, identifying utility reflections, voids, rebar, and other subsurface features.
Report Delivery
You receive a comprehensive GPR scan report with utility positions, depth estimates, and annotated scan images.
